Chubu Electric Power Co.,Inc.
Chubu Electric Power has agreed with Helsinki Education Pty Ltd (Headquarters: Victoria, Australia; Director: KAM MING YU; "Helsinki"), which operates HEI Schools (Note) in Australia, and ALPHA Corporation Inc. (Headquarters: Shimogyo-ku, Kyoto; Representative Director: Hidemi Sakamoto; "Alpha Corporation"), which operates a childcare business in Japan, to establish TCK Global Education LLC ("New Company"), a childcare support business, by April 2025.
The Chubu Electric Power Group aims to create new value for its customers and society by providing a wide range of services that meet the diverse needs of individual customers and their life situations and stages, in order to expand its business domain and transform its business model as stated in its Management Vision 2.0.
Together with Helsinki, which has experience in operating HEI Schools, and Alpha Corporation, which has abundant know-how in operating childcare services, New Company will develop services targeting households with children and companies that promote childcare support.
As a specific initiative, we plan to open an international preschool, HEI Schools Nagoya Sakae (the "School"), in April 2026 at The Landmark Nagoya Sakae, currently under development in Naka-ku, Nagoya City.
The School will be the first in Japan to invite HEI Schools, which uses the Finnish model of early childhood education, and will provide an authentic English learning environment and an education that emphasizes the child's curiosity and creativity.
We will continue to provide services that enrich our customers' lives, including childcare support services, and contribute to solving local issues and revitalizing the community.
(Note) It is a school that uses the Finnish model of early childhood education developed by the Helsinki International Schools Group, a Finnish education company, based on research at the University of Helsinki, and present in more than 14 countries around the world. The model is characterized by the inclusion of various forms and levels of play to stimulate the child's curiosity and creativity for optimal development and learning.
